Change the Battery CMOS

The computers have a battery on a chip (CMOS) which contains settings that make the clock run after being shut down.

If your computer has problems with dates or time, ie every time you boot you need to configure these settings by hand, then you change the battery. Here I will explain you how to do this:

1-. First of all we must keep in a safe settings of our system, therefore, we must start the computer and access the bios to take note of each one.

2-. Turn off the computer and remove case.

3-. Before moving to action, now we must identify the type of battery that uses our motherboard (lithium batteries, alkaline or built-in batteries with connector).

4-. When you know what type of battery used our plate, we can then remove the old and the new place (remember that position was previously installed).

5-. Mount again case, plugged in and turn on the computer.

6-. Now, you can change the date and time.
